We had a fun moment where we danced to this song. I was recently turned onto it by a friend and me and Griffin LOVE it. So much fun to dance to.
News for you! Remember those tests I mentioned we were doing on Griffin several weeks ago. The ones ordered by our Functional Medicine doctor. Well we got results in! We found out that Griffin has a gluten food allergy. This food allergy has put Griffin's gut in pretty bad shape (the intestinal flora, the good bacteria are very very low), it has also caused some malabsorption issues ( hello! I have been wondering where all the good nutrition goes to that I put into him) and his pancreas is not producing the digestive juices that it is suppose to be producing.
SO! What all that means for us right now, is
1. We got an answer as to why he acts like he feels so bad sometimes.
2. We will be a gluten free family for life! (I am very excited to embark on this adventure)
3. He has started on some supplements that will help him repair some of the damage gluten has done to his system.
4. It takes about 6 - 18 months of being off gluten for the gluten antibodies in his system to calm down, so once they do we should start to see a feeling better boy! Yay!
I would love love love any suggestions any of you have for good resources or information on a gluten free diet.
Changing topic.
Halloween!
Oh how I have loved dressing up for this occasion my whole life. I have yet to miss a year. This year we are going as Pocahantas characters (Griffin's favorite movie) me as Pocahantas her self, Griffin as Meko, and Matt as John Smith. It should be fun and I am super excited.
And my precious boy took 12 steps holding my hands the other night. It was Sunday night October 24th.

Man I love him, and at the same time I always feel like it is not nearly enough, because of the imperfectness that I know it is and will be. I hope that God will use even my mistakes somehow to bring about goodness and love in his life.
