Lets march to the beat of our own drum.

This title was inspired by Griffin's Grammi. One day a couple weeks ago we were visiting her and as griffin was wildly crawling around on a new chair she had bought him, I said aloud, "Why do I worry if he will walk? Look at him. That is not a child who is not going to walk." And she replied with, "Of course he will, he just goes to the beat of his own drum."

And yes it is a common saying but one I am guilty of not remembering and living by. If I allowed myself and everyone around to dance to the beat of their own drum, wouldn't I then be living with more peace and joy.

So the new theme of my thoughts.....to allow myself to have my own beat and to allow Griffin to have his own beat. Each one of us our own unique beat.

Look who is learning to stand and cruise!

A big, big month for him. I have taken him to Jamba Juice since he was about 1. And after a year and a half, look at him drink his own smoothie. Love him. So proud of him.

Our first Fall decor. It is so much fun having a family. Having a little boy. To be able to share the excitement of seasons with a child and in a home is such a blessing for me.

We went to a beautiful winery to listen to Matt play music and sing. It was an all around special, special moment. Right as we were about to leave, we set Griffin down in some different grass and he just went crazy playing for about an hour and a half.

It was thrilling to watch him play.

We plan to go back soon to one of their sunday evening concerts. .
