Our life with an extra chromosome....

Falling in love with love again.

There you have a little boy who is discovering his shadow. I will catch him staring at it and trying to touch it and noticing mine.

I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving and is having a blessed leading up to Christmas time. We had fun as a family lighting our house up with Christmas lights.

And even more fun moving the party inside to decorate the Christmas tree. The Christmas tree is one of my favorite parts of Christmas. I remember growing up always wanting the lights on it turned on. I remember going to sit in front of it in the wee early hours of the morning and in the late hours of the night. It was always so comforting and beautiful to me year after year. I still want to sleep next to it sometimes.

Now add to Christmas and Christmas trees a cute little boy and a cute husband and well I just have myself a sweet blessing of a combination!

Griffin is starting to smile for the camera....(sometimes) So exciting !!!

Like here!

And here with my beautiful little sister!

And then sharing his sweet love with some tender kisses!

I am so thankful for these years and times in my life. Where a little boy will be a mamas little elf and we are a safe, happy, and healthy family, and in love with each other, and with life this holiday season.

To fall in love with love again recently has been a revival I am so thankful for. Blog posts are nice, wanting to do and have things are nice, but if I do not love I really have nothing. For me seeing what everyone else around me is doing and trying to match and measure up leaves me feeling unworthy, exhausted, depleted, and angry. To relearn that I can and should love myself and others and to take myself out of the competition (that I create) and to join into the communion of life (that I left) has been just wonderful. I am thankful for each and every person, friend, sister, mother, father, son, husband, blogger, teacher that invites me into a life of sharing and growing and loving. To all of these things (which I have a lot to learn about) Amen.
