I am so thankful for the nice, simple Christmas we had together.
And even ad-mist all the new presents our little elf was still mostly wanting to play with his old toys and watch his favorite movies :) It is precious at this age that there is not any wanting of new stuff yet.
I am a sucker for all things Christmas, the lights, the music, the books, the food, the decorations, the spirit. But I think this book may be my favorite Christmas book ever......
Excerpt from The Spirit of Christmas.....
The words on this last page say......
"And so then my darling, wherever you roam, may you always be safe...may you always come home. For as long as the world still spins and still hums, wherever you are, and no matter what comes, the best part of Christmas will always be you beneath my Christmas tree. You are loved."
And it just has me in tears when I read it.
